Planning-learning to use the C200 (video opening project)

To shoot this film opening, we decided to learn how to use a new camera.

This is a Canon C200. It's a camera that can be industry grade but is used primarily in documentaries. We decided to use this because we plan to edit in log, and this is the only camera we have that can shoot log. Because we've never used it before, we had to take some time to learn the controls to prepare for filming.

It's important that we shoot in log because it can be more easily color graded due to its file formatting causing footage to look more flat. We want this so we have more control over the colors when we put a Look-Up Table (LUT) over it. A LUT is like a preset or filter that changes the colors and tones of a video, with different levels of customization depending on the file it is put over.
